New Zealand Powerlifting United

Built Around The Lifters

A New Zealand powerlifting federation connecting lifters, officials and meet directors through competition.

New Zealand Roots. International Reach.

Our international body is the International Powerlifting League (IPL).

NZPU competitions currently reference the Australian Powerlifting League (APL) rulebook as the domestic rule reference — a separate question from our international affiliation. NZPU will publish the applicable version and any local variations. Competitions are entered and results published through Strength Meet (opens in a new tab), the official NZPU powerlifting platform.
