Terms and Conditions


The Australian Powerlifting League (APL) website and other digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram) are operated by the Australian Powerlifting League. By accessing APL digital platforms, users accept the terms of use whether browsing or registering as members.

1. Use of the Digital Platforms

The platforms provide information about APL products, services, and community news. The information and material is provided for general information purposes only. Users access at their own risk and agree to use platforms only for personal, non-commercial purposes without causing loss or damage.

2. Registration

Registration requires providing complete and current information including name and contact details. Users must inform APL of registration changes. Personal information handling follows the Privacy Policy.

3. Access to and Use of the Digital Platforms

APL may modify platforms, monitor user access, and cancel access if users breach terms or become ineligible. Access depends on telecommunications and internet service providers and other external factors. No guarantee of continuous availability exists.

4. User-Posted Content

Users may submit text, photos, images, audio, and video, and remain responsible for submitted material. By submitting material, users grant APL a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence for operating platforms and business purposes, and consent to APL using their name, likeness, and identifying information in the material.

5. No Liability for Misuse by Other Users

APL does not warrant protection against misuse and accepts no responsibility for copyright infringement by other users.

6. Conduct of Users

Users must not submit material that is offensive, unlawful, defamatory, false, misleading, discriminatory, pornographic, sexually explicit, unsuitable for minors, or abusive, nor conduct illegal activities, cause annoyance, or harvest user information for unsolicited commercial messages.

7. Material Posted by Other Users

APL is not responsible for material submitted by users. User-posted opinions do not represent APL views, and APL does not endorse content accuracy, completeness, or suitability.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Representation

Except as required by law, APL gives no express or implied warranties or guarantees regarding the digital platforms, including system compatibility, information accuracy, freedom from viruses, or uninterrupted access.

9. Our Liability

Liability cannot exclude rights guaranteed by Australian law, including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. To the maximum extent permitted, liability limits to replacement/repair of goods or resupply of services. APL will not be liable for any special, consequential, indirect or incidental damages or loss.

10. Links to Third Party Websites

Links are provided for convenience only and may not be current. Links do not imply endorsement, and APL accepts no responsibility for third-party site content.

11. Users' Liability

Users bear liability for all loss and damage resulting from breaching the terms of use, except where APL contributes to such loss.

12. Copyright

Copyright in the material on the digital platforms is owned by APL or its licensors. Users may access, view, download, and print for private, non-commercial use only. Except as permitted by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), no part may be reproduced without prior written consent.

13. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Queensland, Australia law. Users submit to Queensland courts' non-exclusive jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms and Conditions

APL may amend terms by posting updated versions. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
